SV Microwave has a complete line of VITA 67 coaxial/RF solutions providing high-density and high-performance RF interconnect for VPX applications, residing side-by-side with VITA 46 hardware. By implementing rear panel RF connectivity quick disconnect and replacement of modules is achieved, resulting in a significant reduction in Mean-Time-To-Repair (MTTR) vs. systems using front panel connectivity. SV Microwave’s solutions are 100% compliant with the VITA 67.x open specification. And SV’s unique connector retention mechanism makes installing and removing contacts far easier than competing solutions.
VITA 67.1 (4 port) and 67.2 (8 port) products can be cabled with .085″ diameter (and smaller) coaxial cable. They use floating SMPM coaxial contacts to ensure excellent RF performance in any mating condition.
SV Microwave’s VITA 67.3 solutions can also support .085″ and smaller cable connections, but they also allow for board launch connectivity. High density 67.3 solutions are also available, using SMPS coaxial contacts. Custom contact count and configurations are available for 67.3.

Earlier this year, Grayhill released the second generation of their 3K Keypads and 3J Joysticks. Both of these CAN-bus components have been re-engineered to allow installation without tools. They simply snap in to control panels!

The recent growth in wireless communications is staggering and, as a result, there are innumerable users of the radio frequency (RF) spectrum. To prevent interference between users, the United States has defined regulations for the transmission of radio waves in various frequency bands. Some frequency bands are reserved for public and government uses. Others are licensed to operators of communications services, like broadcast TV and cell phones. And other bands are unregulated and available for public use.

Quell Corporation has developed a chart of the United States’ frequency allocation to map the uses of all of the US frequency bands and their users. The chart covers frequencies from 0Hz to 300GHz.
One of TDK Lambda‘s newest offerings is the 2″ x 4″ CUS150M family of AC/DC power supplies. These supplies are rated to 150W rated power supplies and can operate to ambient temperatures of up to 85°C without requiring forced-air cooling.
The CUS150M is certified to meet medical and ITE standards for Class I and II (no earth ground connection) operation. In addition, the series meets the FCC Class B specifications for both radiated and conducted emissions. With a universal AC (85 to 264Vac) input and wide selection of outputs from 12V to 48V, the CUS150M operates offer operating efficiencies of up to 91%. Power consumption without a load is under 0.5W.
The CUS150M targets a variety of applications including industrial, broadcast, test and measurement, dental, home health care and both B and BF-rated medical equipment. This series is certified to IEC/EN/ES/CSA 60601-1 and IEC/EN/UL/CSA 60950-1. Both Class I and Class II versions are compliant to EN 55011-B and EN 55032-B (radiated and conducted) and meet the EN 61000-3-2 harmonics, IEC 60601-1-2 Edition 4 and IEC 61000-4 immunity standards.
